🏀 The Yellow Jackets Men’s Basketball team downed No. 7 Duke in a chaotic day in college basketball 72-68

This afternoon, the Yellow Jackets announced their 2023 bowl destination: the Gasparilla Bowl against UCF down in Tampa, Florida. Georgia Tech leads the all-time series with UCF 3-2 though the Knights have won the last two meetings.

Georgia Tech is Sweet 16 bound in the NCAA Tournament with a 3-2 win over No. 4 seed Florida in Gainesville on Friday. With this, the Ramblin’ Wreck will play No. 1 seed Nebraska on Thursday. Here’s how we got here and what to keep in mind this upcoming game:

• With the Yellow Jackets’ win at No. 4 seed Florida, it becomes the first true road win in the program’s NCAA Tournament history

• Only three No. 5 seeds (in which Tech is one of them) have advanced to the Sweet 16 this year

• GT averages 14.81 digs per set which is third among the remaining teams

• Tamara Otene collected 36 kills in the team’s opening-round win over South Alabama
