🐝 Georgia Tech athletics mourns the loss of legendary former director of athletics Dr. Homer Rice, who died on Monday, June 10, at the age of 97

🏈​⏪ WAY BACK WEDNESDAY

On September 4, 2005, Football had one of its greatest season-opening performances in program history, with a 23-14 victory over No. 16 Auburn. Tech’s stifling defense intercepted Brandon Cox four times in the second half in a lockdown performance. Sophomore standout Calvin Johnson added 66 yards and a touchdown through the air, while quarterback P.J. Daniels ran for 111 yards and a touchdown to help the Yellow Jackets end Auburn's 15-game winning streak. 

⚾ BURRESS = FRESHMAN HITTER OF THE YEAR

On Tuesday, the NCBWA announced that Tech freshman outfielder Drew Burress secured another accolade for his remarkable offseason, being honored as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s Freshman Hitter of the Year (READ MORE).
