🏈 Football standout becomes Tech’s first first-team All-American in four years 

🔥 RUN IT BACK

Near perfect shooting leads No. 17 Women’s Basketball past Rice University, 88-57. Rusne Augustinaite posted a career-high seven three-pointers, finishing with 23 points, leading four Yellow Jackets in double-figures, and pushing Tech to 12-0 with the win (READ MORE).

With less than four minutes left in the contest, Men’s Basketball sees a 19-0 run to steal the win over UMBC, 91-82. Sophomore Naithan George led four scorers in double-figures for Tech with 18 points, eight assists (READ MORE).

🏀 STARTING FIVE: DEVILS & HUSKERS

5-6 Men’s Basketball will welcome a 9-2 Duke Blue Devil team for one of three final clashes of 2024:

  • Most recently, freshman phenom Cooper Flagg led all scorers in Duke’s 68-47 win over George Mason

  • Flagg posted 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals, one block

  • Earlier in the week, Flagg was tabbed Lute Olson National Player of the Week and ACC Rookie of the Week

  • This comes after he averaged 21.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots in the previous two contests combined

No. 23 Nebraska wraps up its non-conference schedule as they take on undefeated No. 17 Georgia Tech on the road:

  • Although Tech leads the all-time series with Nebraska 2-1, the Huskers claimed an 80-72 win over the Yellow Jackets in their most recent meeting (Dec. 2, 2023)

  • Nebraska extended their home winning streak to 12 games this season with a 66-42 victory over Southern Conference Champion Chattanooga

  • The Naismith, Wooden and Lisa Leslie Award candidate Alexis Markowski led the Huskers with game highs of 18 points and eight rebounds in her team’s Big Ten opener win

  • This pushes her career totals to 1,523 points and 1,045 rebounds
