On the road in Winston-Salem, your #17 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets stayed perfect, pulling off a 30–29 overtime thriller over Wake Forest. This team showed heart, grit, and a refusal to quit — and now they’re coming home still undefeated.

🏈 Game Highlights

• Wake Forest jumped out to a 20–3 lead midway through the 3rd quarter — but the Jackets never blinked.

• Over the final 20 minutes, Tech outscored Wake 20–3 to storm back into the game.

• With just 3 seconds left, Aidan Birr nailed a 33-yard field goal to tie it up and send it to OT.

• In overtime, Haynes King powered in his second rushing touchdown of the night to give Tech the lead.

• Wake answered with a TD of their own — but went for two. The defense rose to the occasion, and Clayton Powell-Lee intercepted the pass in the end zone to seal the win.

• King finished with 243 passing yards, 106 rushing yards, and all 3 Tech touchdowns, cementing his status as the leader of this offense.

• The defense was relentless down the stretch, with big stops from Kyle Efford, E.J. Lightsey, and Ahmari Harvey to keep Wake off the board late.
