Women’s Basketball (22-10) will kick off March Madness, facing the Richmond Spiders (26-5) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament:

  • Richmond holds a 0-2 record against Georgia Tech, dating back to 1985

  • This season marks Richmond’s 5th NCAA appearance, aiming for their first-ever win in the tournament

  • The Spiders hold a 17-1 record in the Atlantic 10 conference play, and have won 12 games by 20+ points this season

  • Rachel Ullstrom leads the team with 80 three-pointers, and Addie Budnik ranks 6th in NCAA career blocks (322)

  • The Spiders are ranked 3rd nationally in field goal percentage (49.2%) and 5th in three-point percentage (38.3%)

If the Yellow Jackets advance to round two after Friday's matchup, Tech will face the winner of UCLA and Southern. Let’s take a closer look at the Bruins and the Jaguars:
